"(...)This year's seventh issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine will reportedly announce on January 14 that Mitsuru Adachi's Cross Game baseball manga will be adapted into a television anime this spring. The original Cross Game manga has been running in Shonen Sunday since 2005, and 13 volumes have been compiled and published so far. Although the manga is currently on a break, it is scheduled to restart in the spring. This will be the fifth manga by Adachi to be animated for television, and the third baseball manga (after Touch and H2) by him to be animated for television(...)"
