Rumiko Takahashi, Mitsuru Adachi Collaborate on Manga

This year's 15th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has announced on Tuesday that two of the magazine's biggest creators, Rumiko Takahashiand Mitsuru Adachi, will collaborate on a new manga called " My Sweet Sunday" in the next issue on March 18. The 30-page one-shot manga will help commemorate the 50th anniversary of the magazine, which is on March 17.

Rumiko Takahashi created Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha,Maison Ikkoku, and numerous other series, and the magazine had announced that she will launch a new manga this spring. Viz Media will publish this new manga in North America before the end of the year, as it has with most of Takahashi's manga. Adachi, a creator best known for his baseball titles Touch, H2, and Cross Game, will start a new manga series in the Monthly Shonen Sunday spinoff magazine's inaugural issue on May 12. Cross Game is being adapted into a television anime this spring.

The March 18 issue will also offer a DVD with trailers for the Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, andInuyasha special anime shorts that were created for last year's "It's a Rumic World" exhibition.

Weekly Shonen Sunday publicará un one-shot de Adachi y Takahashi

El número 15 de este año de la revista Weekly Shonen Sunday anunció que dos de sus mangakas más importantes, Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma ½, Inuyasha) y Mitsuru Adachi (Touch, Cross Game) colaborarán en un manga que se titulará My Sweet Sunday (Mi Dulce Domingo). Se prevé que su publicación se haga el 18 de este mismo mes. La historia, de un sólo capítulo, constará de 30 páginas, y se hará en honor del 50 aniversario de la revista, que será el día 17.

Ambos artistas ya unieron lápiz y pincel anteriormente, por ejemplo, para la edición 17 de la revista Young Sunday, en 2007. En aquella ocasión ilustraron a todo color una página en la que aparecía Azusa Satomi (Idol A), subida a los hombros de (Kosaku HatanakaOne-Pound Gospel). La versión original de tal ilustración fue subastada en Yuubaru, Hokkaido.

La revista ofrecerá también el día 18 un DVD con trailers sobre los cortometrajes animados de Urusei Yatsura, Ranma ½ y Inuyasha, creados el año pasado para la exposición It’s a Rumic World.
